Chia Ho Choon

Mr Chia Ho Choon has more than 30 years of experience in civil and commercial litigation, and dispute resolution. His areas of practice include construction and engineering law, professional negligence, employment law, collective sales, landlord and tenant disputes, contracts, torts and other areas of corporate and commercial law.
Ho Choon has vast experience in all forms of dispute resolution; having been involved in trials in the High Court, appeals before the Court of Appeal, arbitrations with the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, International Chamber of Commerce, Law Society Arbitration Scheme, mediations with Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC), London Court of International Arbitration, and Law Society Mediation Scheme, as well as adjudications. Many of his Court cases have been reported in the Singapore Law Reports.
Ho Choon retired as a partner in the litigation and arbitration team of Withers KhattarWong LLP in 2020. He was formerly a partner of Bih Li & Lee, and before that of Allen and Gledhill.
He now accepts appointments as arbitrator, mediator and adjudicator. He is an accredited adjudicator and a principal mediator. He obtained a Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration in 2004 and has taught at international arbitration courses in Cambodia in 2010, 2012 and 2014 under a programme funded by the World Bank. He also taught arbitration at the Fellowship Assessment Courses conducted by the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators, and at the Singapore Institute of Legal Education. He also coaches mediation with the SMC.
