PARALEGAL

We are looking for a suitably qualified paralegal for our Corporate Department:

Responsibilities

  • Perform corporate secretarial functions
  • Perform legal research
  • Assist lawyers in drafting of documents including agreements, resolutions, wills, due diligence reports
  • Provide filing and record keeping assistance; organise and track files, deadlines and matters
  • Provide other support to the lawyers

Requirements

  • A Diploma in law from Temasek Polytechnic
  • 1-3 years’ experience working in the corporate department of a law firm
  • Able to perform corporate secretarial functions independently
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Strong communication skill in spoken Mandarin (and written Chinese) so as to communicate with Mandarin speaking clients and interpret documents/instructions given in Chinese
  • Must have good computer skills, in particular good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision, resourceful, have initiative, is self-motivated, and able to multitask
  • Meticulous and able to work under tight deadlines

LEGAL ASSOCIATE

We are seeking an associate for our Corporate Department. The candidate must be Singapore qualified and should have a minimum of 3 years PQE with experience in general corporate work such as drafting/review of agreement (such as sale and purchase agreements, subscription agreements, joint venture agreements, shareholders’ agreements) and the carrying out of legal due diligence work.

LEGAL ASSOCIATE (PRC Qualified)

We are seeking a PRC-qualified associate for our Corporate Department to take on an advisory role and work with our lawyers on cross-border transactions and assist in PRC general corporate advisory work.

The candidate should have a recognised law degree and have obtained at least a few years of solid practice experience in PRC law matters covering PRC corporate and commercial law matters including cross-border transactional matters from a foreign law firm or leading local law firm in China with a good understanding of commercial and legal aspects of contracts as well as the regulatory environment. A fair command of English is required for this role.
